What must your MIDI keyboard fit?

Set a key-count floor, a measured width ceiling and any required connection or pad capability. Leave a choice open if it is not essential. A result means the published evidence supports those selected features together; it is not a promise that the keys will suit your hands or that every host and DAW will work.

The finder compares the current library of 120 individually assessed controller configurations across multiple manufacturers and model generations. It is a selective, source-led collection—not a complete census of every product or retail version.

Your playing range and space

Start with the amount of keyboard you need and a real width limit, if one is fixed.

Earlier models remain in the research library, but select yes only when you are comparing a specific older-generation offer. Verify the exact edition, support, condition and seller terms.

This sets a minimum range, not a skill level. If two-handed passages, wide chords or octave reach matter, set the floor you actually need.

Use the instrument body's published width as a first screen. Add space for plugs, hands and nearby equipment; published body width is not a complete desk-layout check.
