Each entry is tied to an exact model and configuration, with the manufacturer evidence, fit boundaries and unresolved details kept visible. A family name is not enough to transfer a key count, key action, ports or software bundle between versions.
The current reviewed library contains more than 100 individually assessed configurations, from compact 25-key controllers to 88-key boards, with current/reference and earlier models represented. The collection draws on selected U.S.-market manufacturer product and support sources; it is not a complete census of every MIDI controller or retail offer. Read each assessment for the exact model, evidence limits and setup tradeoffs rather than treating a longer feature list as a universal winner.
